ALTAMIRA, PA, Brasil. 01/09/2013. Briga entre duas mulheres após festa na margem do rio Altamira, próximo à praia urbana da cidade. Muitas lutas estouraram na mesma hora daquele domingo, quando os operários da construção de Belo Monte têm folga. A construção da barragem hidrelétrica de Belo Monte, no rio Xingu, gerou o fluxo migratório mais intenso dos últimos anos no Brasil. A população urbana cresceu de 100mil para 140mil em apenas dois anos, a grande maioria composta de homens solteiros. A cidade tornou-se mais caótica e mais violenta, com grave déficit habitacional, saneamento precário, acidentes de trânsito, drogas e prostituição.

ALTAMIRA, PA, Brazil. 09/01/2013. A fight between two women after a party in the river bank of Altamira, near the urban beach of the city. Many fights broke up around the same time on that Sunday, when the Belo Monte construction workers have a day off. The construction of the Belo Monte hydropower dam on the Xingu River has generated the most intense flow of migration of recent years in Brazil.
